ABOUT THE ARTIST

Dan Warren started playing guitar in his mid 20s playing mostly country music from the period around the 80s-90s & before.

Not long after picking up the guitar, he started jamming with a cousin who was close to the same age. Lots of foolishness followed in terms of “made up” music & songs. It seemed like the right thing to do. They were not in a band & were not that really interested in playing any cover songs, so most of it was improvised & made up on the spot.

An avid interest in a bit of electronics, a cassette tape recorded always seemed to be running & picking up the sound of the guys jamming.

Along with the jamming, Dan recorded several solo tapes with his own songs while sitting either in front of a micro-cassette video recorder, a small tape machine & in later years, into a computer. Many of these have been digitized now with still some work in progress.

Dan has since retired from his day IT job & now finds himself being interested in pursing a career in song writing & producing later in life.

Dan’s influences are all over the place from rock to indie to blues to country to bluegrass. There is so much to listen out there. He is proud to be from a country that has turned out so many top names in the music business, it really boggles the mind!

His goal is to get better at song writing & try & pitch some tunes & have a song or songs recorded by an artist or artists some day & have my songs hopefully have influence in someone’s life in the message that the song conveys.
